Philip Ongert is the Presenter-Emcee-Host, who will take your next event to the highest level. He is a versatile, outgoing entertainer who loves to make people smile. He resides in San Diego & Orlando, and works all over the country. Philip has worked and trained for many years as an Emcee/Host, Improviser, Actor, Guitarist, Dancer, Narrator, Vocalist, DJ, and Voice-Over Artist (he loves accent work).
Philip has 13+ years of event marketing experience. During that time, he has become quite comfortable entertaining on a microphone, scheduling and managing staff, using a tele- and ear-prompters, setting up event footprints/booths, photographing & summarizing event highlights, memorizing and creatively conveying key program messaging, gathering crowds, and engaging consumers. His trade show credits include CES,OOW, NAB, AHA, NAR, IBS, Medtrade, et al.
Recently, Philip was contracted for seven months as a Host for Nickelodeon, Presented for Samsung Electronics (CES), LoadSpring (OOW), and Idexx Labs (NAVC), Emceed for FX (Comic Con), and currently entertains in several shows at two Southern California Theme Parks. Since June 2013, he has hosted and performed in over 14 shows and special events at those parks, entertaining nearly 2 million guests.
Philip speaks Spanish conversationally and has had the opportunity to live, work, and travel abroad to 30+ countries. Many of those voyages are credited to having been a part of the entertainment staff on 14 different cruise ships. He loves nature and being active. As a personal trainer and avid athlete, he would gladly be described as a health nut. He has also logged hundreds of hours of volunteer work.
Philip earned a BS in Finance and in Nutrition. He also studied International Business in Europe. He is a licensed Realtor and Snowboard Instructor, and has had several years experience in sales. Some of his other interests include juggling, photography, piano, drums, computers, and horticulture.
Philip is acutely aware of the specific goals and objectives of the client's program, and able to exceed their expectations. Clients invite him back year after year. He believes strongly that persistence, reliability, a positive attitude, and the willingness to work hard will get someone everywhere in life!
