In order to explain who I am and also set myself apart, all I can really do is list my combination of interests and accompanying skills and hope they seem different enough from the readers' interests and skills. To begin, I went to an art magnet middle and high school. In high school my concentration was figurative sculpture. I can sculpt portrait busts and whole figures in complex gestures. I pursued another life long passion in college however, and received my degree in International Relations, with my functional field in Politics and regional focus in Africa. Most of my work experience though, has been in education, child care, and environmental advocacy/fundraising. My interests are all over the place, but I have a plan, or a rough draft rather, of how I'm going to bring my interests together. I'll be starting my own extra curricular, which will eventually expand into a program and then organization, that facilitates reading and art work shops for local youth and youth from abroad. I'd really like to talk about this more, but for your sake I'll just skip to one of my favorite accomplishments! I once put together a bookshelf with a penny and a key as my only tools.I normally have no problem with asking for help or clarification when I need it, and I don't shy away from potentially uncomfortable social interaction (because I often find the exchange to be rewarding one way or another), but I really just wanted to know that I could do without any assistance. And now, you know what I know (quite a bit), and what I can do (a lot)!
