Lisa Marie Thomas has had a passion to entertain since she was a little girl. At 5, her parents realized this passion and enrolled her in acting and dance classes. This love of stage and film only increased with her involvement in school plays, booking her first voiceover, and a trip to LA in 4th grade.
After passing the grueling audition process, she majored in Theatre for seven years at the award winning Bak Middle School of the Arts and A. W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, FL. Lisa signed with her first agent in Miami at age 15. She is classically trained in ballet, including pointe (among many other forms of dance) and is currently also a professional dancer.
Despite completing two Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Marketing (receiving Cum Laude honors) and a minor in Communications from Florida State University, Lisa’s only desire was to pursue the creative life she knew and loved.
She moved to Atlanta, GA and received her first chance to be credited in a major motion picture in the film “Footloose,” where she was a principal dancer. Lisa was later seen in the second season of “The Vampire Diaries” as a piano girl in the 1800s, and the first season of “The Walking Dead” as a nurse and stunt performer. Lisa was also a dancer in Blake Shelton’s Footloose music video. She has appeared in several independent films, web series, commercials, music videos, short films and even a radio talk show.
Recently, her credits include the 2012 Official Sundance selection “V/H/S,” a skit with Jack Black of Tenacious D on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and a NYFA MFA thesis film that screened at WB. Her role in the thesis film was that of a ballerina who goes deaf and learns that, no matter what struggles life brings, any dream is still achievable.
Lisa currently resides and studies in Los Angeles, works bi-coastal, and performs with her sketch comedy group both on stage and on YouTube. She’s also a voiceover artist and looks forward to being in an animated feature soon! This ambitious and talented young lady is at the cusp of her promising career and is able/willing to work as a local hire all over the country.
Changing the world, one film at a time.
