Kamasu grew up in several different sectors of Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley as his mom's career in real estate kept them on the move. Although hard, it gave him the ability to quickly make friends in each new area in which they lived. He used this trial by fire to create and mold his current level of comfort he uses for public speaking and working in front of the camera. However, Kamasu was not always able to make friends everywhere he went, and after a pretty serious string of bullying events, he was rescued by his (at the time) 9 month pregnant aunt. He had enough and turned to Martial Arts. He really fell in love with the arts and earned his Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do at the age of 13. Remembering how it felt to be bullied when he was younger, Kamasu constantly found himself in situations where he was sticking his neck out to save the skin of the smaller kids under torment similar to that which he had once endured. Even though he had the physical skills with his hands and feet, he found his mouth was still his strongest weapon and let the his gift of gab neutralize countless situations that could have potentially had violent endings.
After graduating High School in 1992, Kamasu wanted to continue to save others and joined the USMC, but due to his extremely acute allergy to bees, this was a very short lived dream. Although short, the time that he spent around members of the the greatest military on earth gave him values, camaraderie with peers, and a level of respect that he continued to implement into his life. He did eventually find a profession to call home and spent a combined total of 15+ years in law enforcement, personal security details, loss prevention and private investigation on both domestic and international levels. Kamasu was first exposed to the world of film and television back in the late 90's. While working for the Oakland Police Dept, he was sent out to a film set by his command staff to serve as a law enforcement technical adviser, and although he found the process interesting, it wasn't until 2003 that he was first seen on a national level when he appeared as a contestant on NBC's hit show FEAR FACTOR. Kamasu competed hard, but was eliminated in the second round after his opponent was able to place a greater number of RATS in the container to win the round. Although his contestant flame was extinguished, a new flame had been ignited that burned for the love of entertaining people. Kamasu continued to fan and feed this flame through multiple fascists of the industry, from television & movies to motion capture for video games and print modeling. Drawing on some of his verbal skills from childhood, he picked up promotional marketing like a fish to water and soon found himself as the representative for several Fortune 500 companies. In 2011, He landed a full time contract with BMW as the product specialist and spokesperson for their Electric Car Sharing Program in the city of San Francisco www.drive-now.com. Of the many projects that Kamasu is involved in these days, this 100% green Car Sharing Program is one project on which he spends a lot of time, as it affords him the ability to combine his love for sustainable products and services that are good for planet, with being a part of improving technology and the life experience of mankind (especially when it also relates to the automotive industry all in the same playing field).
