About

Some people take a lifetime to discover what their hearts truly yearn for, to figure out what keeps the fire in their souls burning unrelentingly- not Francoise.

Hearing the loudest cry from a baby ever, Maria knew that her daughter would be heard, not quite how, but rather indeed. She knew that her daughter would be a very special person who was meant to shine, so she gave her a name that would do the same, Francoise.

Watching Apollo and Star Search, Francoise would always sing and perform along with the people on TV. Her mother thought that it was amusing, but never really looked past it. She thought that it was what all kids did (but Francoise knew that it was something she enjoyed doing).

It wasn't until a summer visit with family that Francoise found herself singing “I Believe I Can Fly, when she knew what she'd be doing for life. As she and her cousins sang, she noticed how everyone stopped and that she was singing alone. They stopped to hear her, saying: “wow, you can really sing". Never being complimented on her singing before, Francoise found it rather unbelievable and even questioned them herself. Since then, she’s never stopped singing.

At the tender age of 9, Francoise knew she had to be heard. The most readily available venue for that was the Church's Youth Choir. Enjoying the rhythmic melodies of the songs sang in the choir, Francoise developed a desire to make songs of her own. With the love of fusing words from the heart and mind with rhymes, Francoise was inspired to compose a journal of her own personal poems and songs.

Upon entering grade school, Francoise joined the schools choir as well. At that point Francoise's mother knew she was serious about singing and began enrolling her in vocal lessons. As Francoise began competing in talent shows, people began to show more interest in her. They began asking her to perform at national award ceremonies, weddings and funerals. Throughout college, Francoise would continue to sing and perform with local bands. She'd go on to win a multitude of competitions, including Pageants, and the Poetry and Talent awards of the NAACP. Through word of mouth, Francoise began receiving requests for collaborations to sing and write for underground artists. She'd go on to lend her vocals to international charitable projects, which led to her becoming signed to the Universal Music Group. Upon mishaps with the record label, Francoise decided to sever ties and press forward as an independent artist.

After graduating from college, Francoise made one of the biggest moves in her life. Determined to make her dreams her reality, Francoise moved all the way from the South to the world’s largest live entertainment capital, Las Vegas. Without a job or knowing a single soul in Sin City, Francoise knew that she’d make it work. While performing at open mic nights and displaying her talents virally, Francoise gained mass exposure and was asked to lend her talents to various acts performing in lounges and clubs on the strip of Las Vegas. Becoming more recognized in the West, she has been invited to perform in Hollywood multiple times and refuses to stop.

With a voice full of soul from the deep South, and by fusing multiple genres of music together, Francoise has a sound like no other. “My goal is to eliminate bias from music and explore every genre of it that makes something inside of me feel it”. Francoise performs enthusiastically, inciting the crowds with high energy, booming vocals and a presence that can be felt from the top of the building to the last row in the venue.

In spite of the trials that have stricken the singers path, Francoise has a spirit of determination, tenacity, and a fire that refuses to die down. “I know that all of this hard work has to pay off one day, hopefully sooner than later. The worst thing that can happen to me is for someone to tell me no (which has already happened, she chuckles). If I ask enough times, someone IS going to say yes. I have never been more motivated to prove the people who doubted me wrong. Knowing that people don't want me to make it is a driving factor that pushes me forward.”
